"Date" is the second episode of the live-action Resident Evil 5 trailers, collectively known as Fear You Can't Forget. The script was written by Capcom's Japanese team, as confirmed by former Capcom USA Vice President Christian Svensson, though how much was changed in localisation is not known.[1] The film short premiered on the official website to the game in January 2009, accessed by hovering a candle on the number "2".[2] As the trailers dropped based on viewer milestones rather than set dates, it can only be estimated as releasing by 15 January 2009.

Plot[]

It features Chris Redfield dating an unknown Asian woman who, while she is putting on lipstick, flashes Chris in the eye with her hand-held mirror. This in turn causes him to have another flashback, caused by his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Transcript[]

Woman: "What is that?"

Chris: "Anything you want to admit."

Woman: "I don't know, you have to be guilty of something."

Chris: "Let's talk about it."

"Chris are you OK?"

Chris: "Death is nothing to be proud of. And survival is sometimes worse than death."
