Joe Kendo presents the original prototype of the S.T.A.R.S. handgun to Brian Irons and the S.T.A.R.S. team. The design is met with approval, though a few further modifications are requested.

A botanist and his friend Rick discover an unknown plant (possibly infected with the t-virus) in a dilapidated cabin in the Arklay mountains. The plant grows and traps them in the cabin.
Phase 2 of testing begins for Kendo's S.T.A.R.S. handgun design. The design is tested by four members of Alpha Team; Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton and Albert Wesker.

Claire Redfield, looking for her brother manages to infiltrate the Paris Umbrella laboratory. She has to fight against a small army and is caught by a man named Rodriguez who takes her to Rockfort Island.
- Albert Wesker is officially confirmed as alive, and attacks Rockfort Island.
- Claire Redfield and Steve Burnside escape Rockfort Island.
- Chris Redfield arrives at Rockfort, and battles Wesker.
- Claire and Chris Redfield, Steve and Wesker all head to Antarctica.
- The Ashford’s died out, but not before Alexia becomes Veronica.
- Chris destroys Alexia/Veronica, and then battles Wesker, Wesker eventually escapes
- Chris and Claire escape shortly before the facility explodes.
