Chase (played by Linden Ashby) is a member of Claire Redfield's convoy. He drives the gas tank. In Resident Evil: Extinction, he is referred to by L.J. as a cowboy and also wears a cowboy hat through many parts of the film.

Although not much is told of him, he appears to be the member of the convoy responsible for maintaining the gasoline and keeping watch. When searching for gasoline in Las Vegas, he acts as a sniper, climbing the Paris Las Vegas Hotel replica of the Eiffel Tower and shooting down the super zombies when they suddenly emerge.

At first, Chase goes unnoticed by the zombies, but when another member of the convoy begins to seek refuge on the tower, the Zombies climb and follow. Chase helps the member of the convoy, but is overwhelmed by the zombies. When he loses ammunition, unable to defend himself and bitten several times, he falls from the tower along with the zombies, landing on a metal girder below. Chase is killed on impact.

His sniper rifle is a L85 Assault Rifle with an M68 Aimpoint Scope.

There have been rumours going around that Chase was the S.T.A.R.S. member sat on the roof in the second movie. This however, is false.
