Don Jose was one of the villagers who were infested with
the Las Plagas parasite. He lived in a house on the outskirts
of El Pueblo. Don Jose was a Ganado.
When Leon S. Kennedy came looking for Ashley Graham in 2004,
he entered Don Jose's house and asked him if he's seen her.
Don Jose immediately attacked Leon with an axe, but was then shot several times by
him, killing Don Jose.
He is seen on his own Bottlecap. One of the Don Jose "Model"s attacks Leon S. Kennedy with an axe at the beginning of Resident Evil 4. He is the first Ganado that Leon kills but his body does not disintegrate afterwards.

Don Jose wears a brown vest, and a dirty white shirt underneath. He is easily recognizable by his black hair and beard. He has been known to carry axes, pitchforks, and sometimes dynamite.
