Ecliptic Express

The Ecliptic Express was a first-class, inter-city luxurious train. It was owned by the Umbrella Corporation, with its train number being 7268-563-M23. It runs from Raccoon City to the Arklay Research Facility.
Its interior expressed its status. The train had six carriages - a kitchen with cargo room, a bar and saloon, and four carriages with exquisite beds and a dining room.
However, the Ecliptic Express was made into a train of the dead, as Dr. James Marcus released the Tyrant Virus on the train on July 23, 1998 - the Arklay Incident. The train was quickly overrun and all the passengers - Umbrella Corporation researchers - and crew were turned into blood-thirsty zombies.
The train was destroyed after being diverted to the Umbrella Corporation Management Training Facility, where it collided with the buffers and fell off the rails. The speed of the train was dropped by Billy Coen and Rebecca Chambers, who activated the engine's brakes just before it entered the facility station.
The engine's brakes were to be activated from two locations at either ends of the train - one in the front cabin and the other at the back of the cargo car. The successful activation of the brakes required the user to add certain numbers together to make the correct number.
