On the night of October 1st, 1998 Linda heads to the Umbrella corp facility to obtain the cure to the T-virus, while Rodriguez waits back at the Chopper in Main street. As the survivors take refuge in the Umbrella corp, Carter a researcher ask the survivors a favor to find a disk to activate the Tyrant. Once he is activated he begins to kill all of the loose Hunters but when Linda and Carter reach the back exit he attacks them both Killing Carter , Crushing the cure , and Knocking Linda and the Bomb switch for Tyrant down into the Sewers knocking her out. As the player flees from Tyrant they find linda in the waterway when Tyrant jumps down and begins to attack them again. After rescuing Linda water comes running down into the sewer separating them from the Tyrant and Linda. When the survivors make it up to the streets they get into a battle with Tyrants second form. Meanwhile as Linda crosses a street to get into the Apple Inn a U.B.C.S sniper mistakes her as a zombie and shoots her in a leg from the highway. His response is "Shit i think that may have been a live one, ah well... fuck it!". When the survivors find Linda in the Apple inn they take her to an abandoned office building when they overhear Tommy a member of Umbrella corperation and Arnold talking about the city being bombed. After Tommy and Arnold finish arguing Arnold decides to leave the city before it is bombed while Tommy tries to beg him to help him get the container holding Nyx. The survivors rush back to the Helicopter where Rodriguez is waiting but he is given order to take off with the container that Nyx in it. As he takes off Tommy shoots a rocket towards his helicopter bit misses, as the helicopter turns to hard the Container falls into the highway releasing Nyx and the remaing U.B.C.S members are murdered by Nyx. Once the Survivors reach travel to the Highway from the office building they find Tyrant ready to attack them when he his captured by Nyx. With not even an hour remaining before the missles hit Raccoon city they kill Nyx releasing Tyrant (who will soon attack Ada from Resident evil 2 before she escapes) then leave in a Military cargo truck as the sun rises and when the missles strike. They make it to a small base a few miles away from Raccoon city where other survivors rest.
