The HK G3 SG(Scharfschtzengewehr or Sharpshooting rifle)/1 is a semi-automatic sniper/marksman rifle manufactured by Heckler & Koch based on their G3 rifle series. It features a A Zeiss 1.5-6x adjustable scope, a fully adjustable stock and cheekrest, and a trigger grouping that is unique to the G3 line. This was only one of the many sharpshooter variants in the G3 series, and was meant to be a lower priced, civilian alternative to the PSG-1. In Resident Evil, S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team member Edward Dewey used one of these weapons, though it is never seen being used in the game itself.
