Sometimes, a Zombie can display a sudden burst of energy and run for a nearby target. Although uncoordinated, they can be deadly.

During the outbreak at the Atlantic Research Facility, the majority of the infected Humans became "Hyper Zombies'," chasing Bruce McGivern throughout the structure.
