J.J.
From Resident Evil Wiki
"J.J."s are members of Osmund Saddler's Ganado paramilitary. Thanks to their truly inhuman strength, they are able to wield Gatling guns, mowing down anything that gets in the way of their target, human or Ganado. They wear red berets and patch over their right eye. If his target is too close he will perform a melee attack with his Gatling gun.
A "J.J." also appeared in the The Mercenaries minigame, as a mini-boss on the Island Base stage.
Like their unique and high ranking brethren (Dr. Salvador, certain high ranking Zealots and certain bosses/mini-bosses found in the game), their bodies do not disintegrate after they are defeated. With the exception of several Ganados with rocket launchers and several mounted Miniguns (most likely AA and anti-infantry) used by Ganados, J.J. is the only Ganado who uses a firearm.
J.J. also makes numerous appearances in the Assignment Ada minigame (Ada the Spy in Japan) and is commonly followed by an entourage of Ganados.
[edit] Attacks
- Gatling Fire: J.J. will first swing the weapon to aim when he spots a target, then after that it takes about two seconds for the weapon to rev., then the gatling will fire, mowing down anything on it's path (the player, objects and even unlucky Ganados that happen to stumble upon the line of fire). This attack is very damaging and can take off about 25% of health with full health (two shots can kill Ada). J.J. is fairly slow when he is about to fire which should give the player time to either hide or to take aim at him. If he is shot in the head with a powerful weapon such as a Magnum or a Shotgun, or hit with an explosive, his firing will be disrupted. J.J. will pause for a few seconds whenever he hits the player but will resume firing shortly.
- Melee Swing: If the player is too close to J.J., he will perform a meele swing which deals moderate damage and knocks the player back a short distance.
Sometimes the player can kill him with a knife, but this is a very, very difficult task to manage.
[edit] Trivia
- His voice clips are identical to those of the Garrador and Super-Salvador.
