Kevin Ryman was an officer of the Raccoon City Police Department. He possessed superior athletic abilities [citation needed] and was an outstanding marksman.[2] An all-around good guy, he was a dyed-in-the-wool optimist who didn't dwell on petty matters.

While his friendly and casual personality occasionally worked against him (a contributing factor to his two failures in the S.T.A.R.S. selection process), his personal dedication and drive to help others brought him to the attention of Police Chief Brian Irons, who eagerly accepted him into the newly formed Select Police Force.[3]
Kevin is very athletic, good with firearms and an avid car lover. J's Bar was Kevin's favorite haunt, where he spends much of his time attempting to flirt with waitress Cindy.[citation needed] Kevin's can-do attitude tended to grate on all but the most optimistic of individuals.
Kevin got along very well with Cindy, Yoko, and George. However, Jim and David shared a mutual dislike of Kevin, while Mark openly despised Kevin and isn't afraid to show it, because Kevin is somewhat reckless and cocky and sometimes puts himself or others in harms way. Despite some of their attitudes towards him, Kevin was determined to do his duty and see the small group of survivors to safety.

During the Outbreak, Kevin wore his S.P.F. uniform with black boots and gloves. His unlockable outfits include a cowboy costume (named Six Shooter) and a vintage '80s costume, his NPCs are:

In his epilogue he wears mostly his six shooter costume but without the cowboy hat and the mustache.

Exhibiting a high level of power, the .45 Automatic was Kevin Ryman's favorite weapon.

Kevin, always the pragmatic one, carried an extra magazine for his .45 automatic.
[edit] After Raccoon City
After the Raccoon City Incident, Kevin was seen talking to an unknown person on a payphone at a Highway Gas Station. He says he has a fresh start with new job in Miami and compliments the weather, saying it should be fun. He then jumps on his Motorbike and rides into the Horizon.[4]
