Mark Wilkins was a Vietnam veteran working for a security company in Raccoon City. Even at more than 50 years old, his robust strength had not diminished. He had tasted the emptiness of war. Now, more than anything, he just wanted to live in peace.[2]

Mark is a very caring individual, who wants nothing more than to see his friends and family safe. More often than not, the other survivors could catch a faraway gleam in his eye as he wondered what became of his wife and children.
Well prepared for the horrors that await the ragtag group, Mark applied his indomitable spirit that was forged in the jungles of Vietnam to whatever task the survivors face. A brave but cautious man, Mark resented the carefree and borderline reckless attitude exhibited by fellow survivor Kevin Ryman. He was becoming fast friends with David King.

During the Outbreak, Mark wears his SCUTUM security service jacket, black pants and brown boots.

Mark's favorite gun, he carries it with him always.

Mark, learning well the lessons of Vietnam, always carried an extra magazine for his handgun, just in case.
[edit] After Raccoon City
After the Raccoon City incident, Mark (in his good ending) moved in with his wife and son (who had by unknown reasons escaped the Outbreak, or they may have been out of town at the time) and lives a calm and peaceful life that he deserves.
