Platoon Delta

From Resident Evil Wiki

Part of the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service, Platoon Delta was transported to Raccoon City on the 27 of September.

The Platoon was dropped off at Area E95070 by Chopper Delta. Shortly after being dropped off, the Platoon faced heavy casualties and the survivors were cut off from each other.

Commanding officer Lieutenant Mikhail Victor, Corporal Carlos Oliveira and supervisor Nicholai Ginovaef survived and used a tram as their command base. With their Lieutenant seriously injured and no further radio contact from their platoon, the trio began searching the city for a way of repairing the tram to reach the St. Michael Clock tower, where a Rescue Helicopter was to arrive.

Late on the 28th, a survivor and former S.T.A.R.S. member Jill Valentine aided the platoon on their search for spare parts. Nicholai was attacked by Zombies and was feared dead. After starting the tram, an Umbrella Tyrant prototype; "Nemesis" boarded the tram as part of its programming, to kill all S.T.A.R.S. members.

Mikhail managed to slow down the creature with his sub-machine gun. But after being pushed against the wall - injuring his spinal column-, he had no choice but to sacrifice himself with a grenade.

The rescue chopper was destroyed by the Nemesis, which managed to survive the fight.

Eventually, Carlos and Jill escaped the city on a helicopter.
