The STI Eagle 6.0 is a 9mm competition handgun based on a double stack Colt M1911 pistol. In game, the rail mount attached to the frame carries what appears to be a telescopic sight. The "6.0" refers to a 6 inch barrel, where the standard 1911 and similar handguns typically have 5 inch barrels.

It can acquired in Resident Evil 3 by defeating Nemesis twice on Hard Mode in certain locations, causing him to drop the EAGLE Parts A and EAGLE Parts B. Carlos Oliveira also has one in The Mercenaries bonus game with around 90 spare rounds.

The Eagle has a fast rate of fire and reloads quickly allowing the player to continuously shoot with very little recoil. The telescopic sight also gives a much higher chance of critical hits then the standard handguns in RE3. A successful critical hit causes similar damage to a Magnum round, decapitating most of the weaker enemies and killing or severely damaging stronger B.O.W.s. Otherwise, it has the same capacity as the Samurai Edge, 15 rounds and similar stopping power. The only real drawback to the Eagle is that it cannot use enhanced ammo. Carlos Olivera uses this weapon in the Operation: Mad Jackal minigame

Players can acquire this weapon easily by using the gas lamp in the restaurant and the electrical cable in the clock tower to disable Nemesis twice and claim the Eagle parts without having to expend ammunition or health actually fighting him.
