[edit] Description
A .50 caliber semi-automatic handgun, used primarily as a sporting handgun. It is also very cheap to produce, which is why Umbrella Agents carry it as opposed to the more expensive Desert Eagle. It is based on an M1911A1 frame, which is known for its ruggedness and reliability. Moreover, it has a reinforced Guide Rod to accommodate the larger round. It has a powerful recoil that causes the user to have to recover between shots. It is best used on Hunters and more powerful bosses.
It is also featured in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles. It has the largest magazine capacity and fastest reload speed, but also does the least damage of the magnums available.
[edit] Locations
You will find this weapon on a corpse in the cable car.
[edit] Trivia
The Sporting Int. Magnum is one of only three semi-automatic magnums available in Resident Evil, with the other two being the Desert Eagle and the AMT Hardballer Longslide. It is also the only magnum that is not modeled after of a real firearm.
