Talk:Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
From Resident Evil Wiki
So... is Umbrella Chronicles considered canon? I'm specifically talking about the whole end of Umbrella thing in the last two scenarios. 69.182.146.149 06:44, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yes. By "last 2 scenarios" you mean last story. Well... the "Fall of Umbrella" storyline is canon, along with -ofcourse- Dark Legacy.Forerunner

[edit] Canon or Non-canon?
on Wikipedia, it says that the game is part of the main series, but on here, it says it isn't, could someone tell me the errors in this game that don't add up to the main story? because i don't know since i don't have a Wii and never played this game. AngusNitro41
Its most likely not canon. Nemesis appears in a different place in the city, and mutates earlier, the city is designed more around Outbreak's design (which is also non-canon), the city is destroyed differently again, and there is a subway, which didnt exist in RE2/3. MasterChief117
- The entire game is what Wesker says what happened...so it iscanon...Think of it like Wesker updating the computer to include the events. UC is all about what Wesker thinks happened. It has not been confirmed or disproved that the Outbreak games are non-canon. Your only source is the endings...BUT...the ending cut scenes are all narrated in a past-tense...even at the end of the game. Those characters never actually saw the missile(s) hit the city, Outbreak too is like a flashback. And what do you mean it was destroyed differently in UC? I saw a helicopter fly past a missile. 2 and 3's maps were Updated..why would CAPCOM copy the maps of a non-canon game? And just because you didn't see something in a game...doesn't mean it never existed in the game universe!Forerunner 22:23, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Raccoon City was destroyed by a thermonuclear missile. RE3's ending confirmed that, as did Resident Evil: Degeneration, which are both canon. How it was destroyed in Outbreak and UC isnt canon. That Capcom updated Raccoon for Outbreak, which is most likely noncanon due to conflicting points from other games, I dont dispute. Umbrella Chronicles is also noncanon, except for Fall of Umbrella. The rest of the scenarios contradict the other games. Take the scenario "Raccoon's Destruction." Carlos appears in a different place, uses a different gun, Jill ventures into the subway, Nemesis appears on the RPD's roof and is defeated there and they are rescued from the roof of the RPD instead of the Dead Factory's junkyard as was the case in RE3. [edit] Deaths Door Bridge
in deaths door, there is a bridge leading to the highway to fight the tyrant, how did that get there because on file#2 thesurvivors make that bridge to fight nyx.The x reaper 16:12, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
[edit] is this really considered the true story line
i have to disagree with the fact that some people consider umbrella chronicles is the real story line because it changes the story of the games too much. i can understand that the mansion part where richard and robecca chambers are together can be considered part of the the story line. basically what im trying to say is that most of it cannot be considered part of the story line
[edit] cutscenes
Does the character you choose affect the cutscenes played? Because I'm trying to find 2 cutscenes but I cant find them n a playthrough i'm watching --Zalathiust 00:33, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
