"The Mercenaries - Operation: Mad Jackal" is an unlockable minigame in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis which you unlock by completing the main game once. It follows the three UBCS soldiers from the story throughout Raccoon City as they kill zombies and other creatures for points.

[edit] How to Play

The player has a choice of three people: Carlos Oliveira, Mikhail Victor or Nicholai Ginovaef. The player starts off with two minutes to get to the end, and they get more time for every creature they kill. There are several people scattered through the level that are about to be killed when the player gets to them, if they are saved they drop an item and the player gets some more time. The player has to go from the Cable Car to the Warehouse Save Room. Nemesis also appears several times, in his first and second form. Killing him nets a huge time bonus, but is difficult to accomplish.

  • Toughest to play with, but compensates for the lack of weapons with a large amount of healing items

When the player completes the game or dies they are given a grade and a monetary reward. The money can be built up to buy one of four different items to use in the main game: An Assault Rifle with infinite ammunition, a Gatling Gun with infinite ammunition, a Rocket Launcher with infinite ammunition or infinite ammunition for every weapon in the game.
