General

As Mr.X

In its normal form, the T-103 attacks in several ways. Majority of the time, if human player gets close enough, it will instantly throw an quick punch attack. The most dangerous attack is its double overhead fist attack, which is almost capable of killing a human character. If successful, the T-103 will knock the victim to the ground and then stomp on their head, crushing the victim's skull. Another attack is a powerful shoulder ram capable of smashing through concrete, but this is only used in cutscenes from Resident Evil 2, and is an actual attack in Resident Evil Survivor. In Resident Evil Outbreak it can run as well as kick.

In Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, the Tyrant now has a powerful straight punch, but with a noticeable wind-up. It can even demonstrate the sheer force of its punch by attacking Zombies that are in its path. It retains its overhead slam, as well as its shoulder ram, the latter of which is now an actual attack.

In the Super Form, the Tyrant will attack with a right-left combo with its claws, a clapping strike, or a dash attack. The Tyrant also will attack with an underhand stab similar to that of the T-002. The Tyrant is also capable of jumping incredible distances and is immune to all forms of weak gunfire.

In Darkside Chronicles, the T-103 now has a revised moveset. The first of Tyrant's new attacks include running at the player and swiping at them, a jumping downward stab, and an impalement technique that is very similar to its wind up punch from its previous stage. Another attack is a testament to its great strength: it will actually grab a train car and shove it towards Leon and Claire Redfield. Due to having its coat burned off, The Tyrant is agile as well; another attack involves it jumping across the train tracks, again over a rail, and once more to swipe at the player. The Tyrant also has greater defensive capabilities; it can easily swat away incoming rockets (much like its predecessor T-002), and can even catch one and throw it back. The Tyrant also regenerates if its health bar is brought down by any other weapon. It also attacks with its elbow when the player is above the trains, if the player fails to dodge this attack, they will drop in front of a train allowing the tyrant to throw one at you. Luckily, this can be dodged.

Strangely enough, its large claws can be used for defensive measures by shielding the whole body.

As Super Tyrant

Bullets do minor damage to the T-103. When it is shot enough times, it will drop to the floor and pass out. When the player leaves the room, it will wake up due to its regenerative abilities. However, if it suffers a mortal injury, it will go through an aggressive mutation that causes it to revert slightly to that of similar previous models (the one that attacked Leon was shot by Ada, causing it to stumble off the platform they were on, and into a molten slag vat; and that's what caused this one to mutate). Claws are formed on both arms and the heart starts to increase in size, causing it to protrude slightly from the chest. Its scent system no longer functions, and so it attacks all personnel in the area like previous Tyrants. It is much faster, but this model still has a weakness to explosives. Leon and Claire must use a rocket launcher (which was thrown to them by Ada Wong) in order to defeat the T-00 in its super tyrant form.

Resident Evil 2 (1998)

In classic Resident Evil 2, the tyrant is a slow but powerful enemy specifically meant to block the player from reaching their next objective and is almost always encounter in a narrow corridor. Mr.X have 3 attacks.

In term of speed, Mr.X can only walks but he has two walk speed: the 'power walk' which is only used for quickly closing in on his target when he's far away. And the slow walk once he get close.

Durability-wise, Mr.X on lower difficulty can has HP ranging from 200-300 while on harder one these value can go up to 400-500. Mr.X is also less prone to flinch than any other enemies, and even if he does, he will only be stunned for a split second before becoming active again. For Leon, the best weapons in his arsenal against the Tyrant is the Magnum, dealing 70-80 damage per shot and 100 damage with custom part. While his Upgraded Shotgun can also deal around 70-80 damage per shot, it is highly impractical due to its slow firing speed. For Claire, A Grenade Launcher loaded with Acid Round is very effective against Mr.X, doing the same damage as an unupgraded Magnum.

Survivor

there's a small hitbox for when it tries to hit you at close range, so move up close and back up when you see it do the quick punch, and use the Handgun D.

Operation Raccoon City

T-103 Tyrants return in Operation Raccoon City, and appear in greater numbers than in previous games. They are capable of enduring significantly more gunfire before being defeated. When a Tyrant is in the area, the ground will shake with every step the Tyrant takes, giving them a much more menacing presence.

The first time players will encounter this model of Tyrant is in the labs beneath the Dead Factory. Players must retrieve an NE-Alpha parasite from the brain of a T-103, which was a 'failed experiment.' However, after the parasite's removal, the Tyrant awakens and promptly attacks the U.S.S. Wolfpack.

Later on, after the members of the Wolfpack are abandoned by Umbrella, they will be forced to fight two T-103's simultaneously.

Lastly, players will encounter the T-00 in its Super Tyrant form on the elevation in Brikin's Labs. Players cannot kill the tyrant - they must shoot its exposed heart in order to knock it off of the elevator.

The T-103s in Operation Raccoon City display more intelligence and aggression. When they are shot repeatedly in the head, they will use their arm to shield their head from gunfire. The Super Tyrant similarly covers its heart when shot.

T-103s also have a dangerous sprint attack ability, allowing them to cover a great distance in a short amount of time. They can also jump extremely high into the air. They may also grab players by the head, forcing players to draw their sidearm and shoot the Tyrant in the face in order to be released.

Resident Evil 2 (2019)

The Tyrant's role is greatly expanded in the remake, appearing in the 1st and 2nd run scenarios for both characters. In the 1st run scenario he appears after the player extinguishes the burning helicopter after returning from the parking garage. In the 2nd run scenario he appears when the player walks down the 2F west corridor torwards the linen room/lounge or when walking back towards the shower room after acquiring the Battery and will pursue them until they enter the secret passage under the Goddess Statue and will later return at the helicopter, essentially pursuing the player for the entirety of their time in the main station area.

The Tyrant actively patrols the police station in search of the player. When unaware of their location he will meticulously search rooms until he either hears them (gunfire especially draws his attention) or gains line of sight, at which point he will begin aggressively tracking them. The player can generally avoid the Tyrant (even being in the same room) by being quiet and listening for his footsteps, though the longer they go without an encounter the more sensitive his hearing becomes. There are also some forced encounters - picking up the Jack Handle and detonating the C4 will draw him almost instantly, and spending too much time in the Interrogation Room can cause him to break the adjacent hallway's wall, while there are also some scripted encounters such as opening the R.P.D.'s parking garage door (Claire scenario) or obtaining the Senior Staff chip (Leon scenario).

The Tyrant walks at approximately four times his normal speed when moving through a room that is too far away from the player to be rendered. This can make his off-screen behavior fairly unpredictable and make it inefficient to try and "control" him by luring him away from where the player needs to go, as he can breeze through an entire wing of the police station extremely quickly.

Tyrant boasts a few different attacks that are triggered by the player's behavior, position, and status. He will throw out combos slightly more if the player is in Danger, particularly using an overhead skull crusher that is unique to this state. If the player is aiming a weapon, Tyrant will attack with a lunging haymaker that is somewhat harder to dodge than his normal punches; his aggression can be minimized by keeping one's health up and not engaging him in combat. Touching him at all will result in being grabbed and thrown back for slight damage.

The Tyrant cannot be defeated conventionally, and will simply be stunned for about 30 seconds if damaged sufficiently (the same can be accomplished by hitting him with a flash grenade, though he will sometimes blindly swing out). Firing at him is fortunately unnecessary most of the time, as the player can always outrun him and it's fairly easy to bait out his punches and then run by him. Additionally, he cannot enter most small dead-end rooms such as the Bell Tower.

While he's not a huge threat on is own he's immensely dangerous when paired up with other enemies who can complicate evasion. Lickers especially are dangerous as Claire and Leon's walking speed is slower than the Tyrant's (when the tyrant is in his "sprinting mode", he moves at almost the same speed that a running player with fine health status (in hardcore, he will move slightly faster)) and running will draw the attention of the lickers. It is extremely valuable that the player keep track of which areas are not populated with enemies, and clear out enemy-infested "puzzle rooms" such as the Library prior to the Tyrant's appearance.

Super Tyrant

The Tyrant is specifically the main antagonist for Leon's scenarios, persistently appearing in order to kill him with his mutated form can only be encountered here. After getting damaged by one of the explosions during the NEST's self-destruction protocol, the Tyrant returned once again with a much more twisted mutated form. The battle starts at the Lift after Leon uses the Joint Plug to provide the lift with power.

The Tyrant now uses his elongated talon to deal moderate damage (usually one hit will send the player from 'Fine' to 'Caution' on Standard). Numerous debris will fall while in battle. The attacks can range from a single sweep to multiple slashes. The Super Tyrant's beating heart is vulnerable, with multiple hits from a firearm is enough to stagger him. He is vulnerable to Flash Grenades and Hand Grenades, briefly stunning him upon detonation.

Sometimes, the Super Tyrant will emit a loud furious roar before he charges forward the player. If not avoided, it will result in an instant kill where the Tyrant impales the character with its talons. This attack can be avoided by hiding behind one of the debris, staggering him by continuously shooting his exposed heart, or using explosions such as the Flash Grenade. He will usually perform this attack twice at a set interval.

Like in the original, Ada will assist the player by providing Leon with an Anti-tank Rocket to destroy the Super Tyrant. Upon impact, the Super Tyrant's upper body will be destroyed, leaving only the lower body intact. However, 2 shots are required to defeat the Super Tyrant in Hardcore mode.

Resident Evil: Resistance

The Tyrant is Daniel Fabron's Ultimate Skill. It has five moves (six if the Intercept ability is used):

The Tyrant has a default cooldown of around 7 minutes (which can be reduced with equipment, attacking survivors, etc.). Once this timer ends or if the player exits Tyrant prematurely, Daniel will go back to the cameras and the Tyrant will despawn. It is possible for the Survivors to deal enough damage to the Tyrant to immobilize it, though it requires shooting its head, as any other part of the body will always result in dealing no damage to it.

Like all other Ultimate Skills in the game, the Tyrant has three variants that can be equipped to it prior to the match:

Utilizing either Wind-Up or Intercept will slow down Tyrant's Hook Punch speed by an incredible amount, making Brutality a must-pick in the event that a player wants to take down a group of survivors quickly.

Unlike Alex's Yateveo, if Daniel exists the Tyrant early, he will not be able to control it again until the next time he is able to spawn it. Like Nemesis, Tyrant currently has no method for partial cooldown reduction after exiting.

According to RE.NET, as of April 13, 2020, the Tyrant is the second most defeated Ultimate Skill in the game.
