U.S.S. Alpha team

Alpha team was a USS (Umbrella Security Service) group sent to retrieve the G-virus from William Birkin. They were tasked with taking Birkin's G sample, whilst the others guarded the sewers.

During their infiltration, one of the two mistook a sudden noise for a gun shot. He automatically unleashed a wave of submachine gun fire on him. Hunk -perhaps the leader of the operation- stopped the member firing any more, due to the possibility of gunfire destroying the samples.

They took the briefcase containing G. However in their haste, they didn't notice Birkin holding a sample of G. Close to death, he injected himself.

The mutated Birkin then ran after the two men and killed one by slashing him with his claws. He then attacked Hunk, this time however, he was only knocked out.

Upon regaining consciousness, Hunk asked for evacuation on his radio. He managed to reach the Raccoon City police department shortly after and managed to escape on a helicopter with "Night Hawk".
