Wesker's Command Room
From Resident Evil Wiki
Albert Wesker had a secret Umbrella Command Room in an undisclosed location. It was here that Wesker kept all of his resources, planning to remake the Umbrella Corporation. The base was used as Wesker's headquarters up until 2006.
[edit] History
While it is unconfirmed when exactly Wesker commandeered this hideout, it is known that he made it his headquarters after Umbrella's fate was sealed, using it to build his new Umbrella. In a base disguised as an oil refinary located in the Caucasus, Wesker managed to break in just before Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and a regional biohazard containment unit of the Anti-Umbrella Movement could arrive, whose presence he was aware of due to listening in on their communications. He managed to defeat Sergei Vladimir and cleared out the U.M.F.-013 computer core of the Umbrella Archives, summing up all of the company's years of research and assets into one disc. He then erased all data from the computer, wiped the memory of the Red Queen, and shut her down for good. Not only did Wesker exact promised revenge on the Red Queen and Sergei, but he gave himself all the tools he needed to ressurect Umbrella, which he planned to use to lead a new world.
Wesker escaped the defunct base and returned to his lair, where he put all of Umbrella's data into the base's computer. With the Umbrella facility and all of the company's assets, he was able to access the archives and see all files concerning operations of the company and recorded biohazard disasters (Raccoon City for example), and make use of an Umbrella satellite which he could use to watch any part of the planet he zoomed in on. The high-tech room not only provided Wesker with a base of operations, but also a good place to work in the shadows. While Wesker sorted out his data and remained hidden from the public eye (much like Ozwell E. Spencer), he recruited Jack Krauser and Ada Wong to do his bidding in the outside world.
In 2004, Wesker sent the two to retrieve a Master Plaga sample from the Los Illuminados cult so that he could send the advanced Las Plagas strain to a company called "S" (actually [[Tricell, Inc.). The purpose of this was to finance his Umbrella's growth. Ada killed the corrupted Krauser during the chaotic mission and stole the sample from Leon S. Kennedy. However, she was shown to be loyal to the "Organization" only, a group Wesker had betrayed, and sent him a false sample of the parasite. Despite this attempt at sabotaging his plans, Wesker managed to get ordinary Plaga variants off the Black Market and gave them to "S" instead. Wesker's Umbrella grew thanks to the compensation paid to him.
Over the next two years, Wesker managed to contact more of Umbrella's rivals, sell them more viral samples, and expand his Umbrella even further. His base's location was left unknown to all but Wesker himself. This is presumably what protected him from the vengeful Organization. However, Wesker had promised to track down Spencer, and soon grew an anxiety gnawing away at him slowly to discover what Umbrella's founder had intended. After putting all of his resources to use, Wesker located Spencer, and came out of his own hiding place to confront him. Spencer's plan and Wesker's origin were revealed. Spencer's vision for the future was to bring about an evolved humanity, with himself as a god.
Wesker realized that he would need to first shape the world and human race in his image before his Umbrella could serve as their leadership infrastructure. He then killed Spencer and took on his vision in conjunction with his own. Soon after, Wesker made his third and final alliance with Tricell to completely bring all of his plans together. He presumabely kept his resources in this safe place, but it is unknown to what extent he was still using his hideout while working with Tricell. He was later halted in his plans by B.S.A.A. agents, Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar. With Wesker's death, the command room's status, along with Wesker's resources and data, was left unknown.
[edit] Appearence
This command room was previously owned by Umbrella, and as such had the company logo both in its loading computer screens and on the equipment it provided. It seemed to be underground, as Wesker decended a long, dark staircase illuminated by red lights when entering. A command chair was placed in front of a large digital screen. Beside the chair was a metal post able to read discs or add data into the computer. In the high-tech chair, Wesker could type requests and codes. The two arm rests had specialized keypads with green keys, and mouse-like scrollers used to roll over different images. The screen could show all of Umbrella's data accessable from a menu operated by an AI with the voice of the Red Queen. Wesker could view different parts of the planet by zooming in and watching from the video feed of an Umbrella satellite, which he could move around in space from the command center, or by pulling up a digital map. He used the satellite to watch over agents or enemies. He used digital video communication to keep in touch with his agents.
