A State of Emergency is a piece of music composed for Resident Evil CODE:Veronica. It was first released as part of the BIOHAZARD CODE:Veronica ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK. It also appears in the biohazard SOUND CHRONICLE. It was re-composed for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles.[2]

Music information[]

Composition of all music for Resident Evil CODE:Veronica was handled by Nextech composers Takeshi Miura, Hijiri Anze and Sanae Kasahara, though it is uncertain who composed this track in particular.[3] There is a sped up sampling of a melody within the Unstoppable Nemesis track from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis's soundtrack.

In-game usage[]

It's used when the self-destruct system has been activated. The alarm starts after possessing the three proofs from either Alfred's Bedroom in the Private Residence (after their encounter) or from the Official Residence Vestibule when Claire picks up the third proof. But the soundtrack itself starts after witnessing the planes leaving the island.
