- While the Spencer's Memoirs files of Resident Evil 5 made Alex's sex vague, the Biohazard Archives II guidebook stated Alex to be male with the line: "That man's name: Alex." (その男の名は、アレック ス。 Sono otoko no na wa, arekkusu.) This was the result of Jun Otomo guessing, since there was no official sex at the time.
- In the bad ending, Alex's consciousness manages to overtake Natalia after she is squeezed into unconsciousness by Monster Alex. Natalia, awaken as Alex Wesker, tears apart Monster Alex's hand and effortlessly kill the mutated creature by pulling out its Uroboros core. She cruelly teases Barry, who can't bring himself up to shoot her due to their emotional bond. This ending is not considered canon.
