BIOHAZARD 3 LAST ESCAPE VOL.3 is the third volume of a manhua series published by the Hong Konger Tinhangse Publishing, and officially-licensed by Capcom.[1] It was written by Lee Chung-hsing (李中興), and published some time in 1999. The title of this story is "T-002 VS G-VIRUS".

Plot[]

The volume begins with a brief introduction to Umbrella's B.O.W.s. Returning to the story, the mutated William Birkin clashes with a Tyrant (T-103 Model) right in front of a startled Carlos Oliveira. Although appearing matched, the Tyrant manages to punch Birkin so hard the scientist's body breaks through a wall. Carlos manages to get out of the area before the Tyrant delivers its intended finishing blow. Shedding a tear, Birkin manages to evade the punch before smacking his enemy in the face. A further punch sends it crashing through the floor, coughing up blood. Birkin walks towards the collapsed B.O.W. and delivers a fatal blow.

BIOHAZARD 3 LAST ESCAPE VOL

Birkin unleashes a major blow to the Tyrant.

Meanwhile, Carlos makes his way through the Umbrella facility, only to walk into a group of zombified townspeople. He takes out all but one - a fellow UBCS mercenary he recognises as his former friend, Jeff. The zombie also recognises Carlos, extending his arm out to examine a crucifix Carlos is wearing on his neck. After some panels of flashbacks, Carlos finally builds up the courage to kill the zombie.

BIOHAZARD 3 LAST ESCAPE VOL

Jill stabs the Hunter in its tumour.

Elsewhere, Jill is still the run from the Hunter β in the Raccoon Police Station (continuing from VOL.2). Finally grabbing hold of her, Jill uses her combat knife to stab the B.O.W. in its tumours. The Hunter's bodily fluids spray from the wound and burn Jill's right arm. Temporarily on the floor, it is revealed that the Hunter has Jill's S.T.A.R.S. key in its hand. The chase then continues; the Hunter's acidic fluids drop on a blue herb, disintegrating it. Coming to the end of a corridor, Jill swerves to go through a side door; the Hunter is running too fast and smashes into the wall. The door is slammed in its face.

Feeling weakened by the Hunter's attack, Jill finds a blue herb lying on the floor. Approaching the S.T.A.R.S. office, Jill is forced to break the door open in place of using her lost key. Activating the S.T.A.R.S. communications equipment, she tries to get in contact with an obese operator (who seems to be eating a burger while reading a magazine in work hours).

The issue ends with other stories going on at the time. Nikolai Zinoviev is adding more information to his laptop. Carlos walks up to him. Nikolai gives a look as though expecting a fight. Leon receives word of Raccoon City from the obese comms. officer while he drives to the city (the man is still eating a burger) through the completely empty freeway.

Further notes[]

The cover of this comic exclaims the ultimate showdown between T-002 and the G-Virus (referring to Birkin). However, the Tyrant that appears in the story is not the T-002 seen in the first Resident Evil title, but a particular batch-number of the T-103 series.
