BIO HAZARD 2 VOL.17 (Chinese: 生化危機2 VOL.17; Pinyin: Shēnghuà wéijī 2 VOL.17) is the seventeenth volume of a sixty-part manhua series published by the Hong Konger King's Foundation, and officially-licensed by Capcom.[1]

Taken into custody by the B.H.S.T. as someone who may be of use in their God-hunt, Asura's lover is made to work for them, gaining access to various communications equipment. She brings to attention a delivery being made, which the B.H.S.T. investigate. Leon falls through the air, landing on the windshield of the van. Aiming his handgun at the driver, he is forced to stop and he and his passenger are taken into custody. The armed police take a crate out of the van and open it, discovering it to contain the bodies of cybernetically-enhanced people.

Inzaghi rests in his pool.

The four B.H.S.T. members - plus Asura's lover - arrive at Inzaghi's residence. They are welcomed inside and escorted to a large pool, where Inzaghi, the artificial island's richest man,[excerpt 1] is relaxing with two servant girls attending to him. Chris tries to ask him questions about God, but he sends them out. Out of the building, they are attacked by a group of men with cybernetic implants; the B.H.S.T. protect their escort by shooting at the men. Inzaghi walks outside and has the group cease fighting an disperse.

Returning inside, Inzaghi sits at his desk and converts with God by way of a computer monitor; God responds to him as an old friend.[excerpt 2] Asura sits next to God on the other side of the monitor. The author of the comic interrupts to explain that Asura has now been given incredible powers by a beam of energy, and now wears a suit of armour alongside his pre-existing cybernetic implants.

Elsewhere, Dehne and Asura's lover enter a car and go on a drive. While this happens, Leon captures an armed man who is fleeing from the local police. He allows them to take him under custody, heading out to a vending machine for a drink. The flag-draped Licker holds such a can in its hand; learning from Leon, it raises the can to its mouth and pierces it with its teeth to drink.

Later on, the B.H.S.T. team are all together, continuing their search for God. Leon spots a sign advertising a sports championship prize event, to take place on June 6. Since Inzaghi is slated to make an appearance, Leon concludes that God will attend this event, too.[excerpt 3] He sees only the arrest of God as his only priority.[excerpt 4]

Further notesEdit

The story title, "地頭蟲の戀", replaces the possessive character (in this case, "之") with the Japanese character "no". This is a common feature in Hong Kong and Taiwan, which gives it an exotic feel.
