BIO HAZARD 2 VOL.44 (Chinese: 生化危機2 VOL.44; Pinyin: Shēnghuà wéijī 2 VOL.44) is the forty-fourth volume of a sixty-part manhua series published by the Hong Konger King's Foundation, and officially-licensed by Capcom.
Baiduo gets ready to join the fight against the mutant CENTCOM commander, with Charlie instead standing with Sherry and a female passenger. The commander throws a punch at Baiduo, who blocks it. After some agile movements, the commander succeeds in punching him straight in the face, and then a few more times. Baiduo is unaffected, and punches the commander back in the stomach and then in the face. The aeroplane makes a hard landing, and Charlie and Sherry get out of the plane.
Enveloped in a strange cloud, they encounter the Chemical commander (化學司令). Charlie and Sherry run away. Moving through the city, they see cars full of dead family members replacing normal traffic jams. The chemical commander releases more gas in their direction, revealing that his mask is used to spray it. Charlie jumps into the air with Sherry to get away from blasts that are happening seemingly out of nowhere. As they move around the airport hanger bays, they see two cloaked people looking back at them from the top of one hanger. One of the individuals throws blasts at the chemical commander. The commander begins to mutate and, hidden by a cloud, splits into four slimmer, though muscular beings. Baiduo's fight with the CENTCOM commander is cut short when the mutant also sees the strange figures.
Baiduo meets up with Charlie and Sherry as the mutants disappear. The figures then fly away into the sky.
In the day time, the various mutant citizens go about their daily routines. One man delivers the strange, long-haired figure some breakfast. We are then shown part of "Reform"'s origin story by way of flashback. During a zombie outbreak a year ago,[excerpt 1] Reform and his family were home-invaded. Reform tried to beat the zombies away with a chair while his wife and son fled. However, they soon got the better of him, and he was attacked...
