BIO HAZARD 2 VOL.49 (Chinese: 生化危機2 VOL.49; Pinyin: Shēnghuà wéijī 2 VOL.49) is the forty-ninth volume of a sixty-part manhua series published by the Hong Konger King's Foundation, and officially-licensed by Capcom.
Reform continues to hold Ya Lan in the air with his tentacles. Placing a tentacle on his chest, he prepares to consume him. Bǎiduō; Charlie and Chris charge at Reform (Chris appears to simply levitate). Ya Lan is freed when Chris severs some of the tentacles with his knife; Charlie catches him. Bǎiduō continues to Reform and punches him in the face. Knocked to the floor, Reform hits the ground with so much force his head is buried into the concrete. Climbing out of the ground, Reform begins to mutate. His shirt torn appear, he exposes his muscular physique. One of his eyes is heavily exposed.
Charlie sends another punch flying at Reform, who sends his own colliding into it. The force of the impact between fists causes the road to rupture below them. As the fight continues, Charlie leaves with an unconscious Ya Lan to get him help. Bǎiduō is hit in the chest and is sent flying up into the air, striking his back against a lamppost. Reform prepares to jump up at him as he falls, but Chris intervenes, sending him flying several feet. Chris and Bǎiduō both run at a downed Reform, but he sends out his tentacles again. Chris is slapped in the face and knocked over.
The two B.H.S.T. operatives run away. Bǎiduō runs into an alleyway, but is surrounded by tentacles as Reform attacks from the air. Sending another towards Bǎiduō's chest, Reform begins to absorb him. Bǎiduō has the last laugh, however; he reveals a syringe containing a chemical resistant to the G-Virus. Bǎiduō's innards are pumped back into Reform's body, sending the chemicals into his body.
His meal finished, Reform's tentacles break apart. He begins to scream out in pain and collapses back to the ground. Weakened, Reform tries to fly away, though his left hand falls apart from decay. Chris runs to Bǎiduō, who has a hole in his chest. Chris picks up the semi-conscious man and carries him on his back, but he himself drops to the ground; he's just too heavy.
