"Berceuse"[note 1] is a cutscene in Resident Evil CODE:Veronica. It's one of the cutscenes that were changed in the X version of the game.
Plot[]
Once Chris enter the control room, he sees Alexia on the big screen singing 'Berceuse'. Wesker too was watching the scene from the computer in the transport plane concourse. Upon noticing Chris, he released a Hunter II along with its Seeker as a welcoming gift.
In the original he shows a surprised reaction but in the X version he seems to be expecting him.
Transcript[]
Alexia Ashford: "There was friendly but naive King, who wed a very nasty Queen..."
Chris Redfield: "Who is that?"
Alexia: "...the King was loved but the Queen was feared."
Alexia: "'Till one day..."
Albert Wesker: "Alexia?! No! She's already fully awake."
Alexia: "...strolling in his court an arrow pierced the kind King's heart..."
Wesker: "Chris...oh little fishy, come see my hook."
Alexia: "...he lost his life and his lady love."
Wesker: "Chris...I'm sending some company to keep you entertained."
"Consider this a small welcoming gift from me. Enjoy."
クリス・レッドフィールド：何だ この女は？！
アルバート・ウェスカー：アレクシア！ くそっ！ もう目覚めてしまったのか！！
ウェスカー：クリス…やはり現れたな
