Claire Redfield was the sister of former S.T.A.R.S. officer, Chris Redfield, who was caught up in the G-Virus outbreak in Raccoon City.

Biography[]

Claire Redfield drove over to Raccoon City to meet with her brother, concerned that he had suffered a mental breakdown. She was forced to reconsider when she encountered a zombie in a diner and met Leon Kennedy.

She then tried to go to the Raccoon Police Department to find her brother, although she ended up finding Brian Irons, the unstable Chief of Police, and grew disturbed by his graphic insinuations that he had killed the Mayor's daughter and intended to stuff her, as well as his descriptions of the G-Virus and hints at Sherry's presence. While trying to find a way into the sewer system, Claire ended up finding Sherry Birkin, who was trying to find her parents.

Deciding to work together, Sherry managed to find the elevator down to the sewer, although she then saw Irons in the same area and deduced he wasn't sticking around either. Irons then threatened them under the belief that Claire had been an Umbrella agent coming to rub him out, protesting that he did everything they said. However, Irons then was dragged by something in the manhole and violently torn apart, causing a horrified Claire to tell Sherry they have to get out of there.
