The laboratory entrance (研究室の入り口, Kenkyūshitsu no iriguchi) is an area of the Arklay Laboratory.

Description

The laboratory entrance leads to two different area, the ladder leads to the preparation room and the main door ahead lead to the passage ahead toward the heliport.

Guide

In the original 1996 Resident Evil and its 2002 Remake, the door ahead is the way to the heliport. However, it can't be entered until a "1st class Emergency" occurs. Head down the ladder to enter the preparation room. After rescuing Jill from the Detention chamber, she will follow Chris up to this point. During the 1st class emergency, the door to the Heliport passage can now be entered.  If the player is pursuing an ending where Wesker instead drops the Master Key, that can be used to open the door to the heliport passage.
