BIO HAZARD 2 VOL.55 (Chinese: 生化危機2 VOL.55; Yale: sāngfangàihgēi 2 VOL.55) is the fifty-fifth volume of a sixty-part manhua series published by the Hong Konger King's Fountain, and officially-licensed by Capcom.[1] It was first published on Monday 3 March 1999. As seen on the cover, this particular issue was restricted to over-18s only. The title of this story is "Earth" (Chinese: 大地; Pinyin: Dàdì).
Plot[]
""In the beginning God created the heavens, and the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. ...... God said, 'Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree according to its kind'......And God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creatures: cattle, insects and wild animals, each accoding to its kind...... Evil Leon awakens.
Microsoft, revealed to be a member of the Defense Department's Bio-weapons research team -[excerpt 2] watches Sherry from the crack of a door, adding suspicion to his character. Meanwhile, Leon and Reform fight, with Reform bloating his body while sending more tentacles Leon's way. Leon's Ki prevents the tentacles from reaching him, so he gives up. Facing a powerful opponent, Reform, his girlfriend and his men escape. Leon smashes the damaged temple wall, only to suddenly melt into a pool as the G-Virus dissolves his body. An evil duplicate Leon rises from the pool and flies away. Leon's body returns to normal once the evil has been expelled, and he walks away.
Back at the B.H.S.T. compound, Perth receives tests for his G-Virus infection, which Sherry attempted to cure. He begins to feel pain again. Microsoft moves over to Sherry's capsule in the laboratory (研究所), hoping to take a sample of her infected blood. Claire discovers him walking out of the room; he drops and breaks the vials before running. Claire checks on Sherry, finding her to be experiencing sharp pains.
Chris is stabbed.
Charlie; Dehne and Chris aim their handguns at Microsoft, believing him to be a traitor. He tries to explain his attempt to undermine the G-Virus.[excerpt 3] As they berate him, Claire tearfully grabs him. Emotional, himself, he injects himself with the G-Virus. His arm begins to pulsate while Sherry meanwhile experiences a seizure.
Back at the isolation ward (隔離病房), Perth begins to experience intense pain as his left arm also begins to pulsate. Chris; Dehne and Charlie run over to him. Perth loses control and takes Chris' knife, stabbing him straight through his right arm.
Sherry's dream.
Microsoft continues to type on his computer while Claire watches Sherry struggle to breath inside her capsule. Sherry falls into a coma, and experiences a dream whereby she "wakes up" in a blank space. The space suddenly becomes populated with giant versions of the G-Virus; she allows the G-Virus to take over her body by literally hugging a virion in her dream.
