BIO HAZARD 2 VOL.58 (Chinese: 生化危機2 VOL.58; Yale: sāngfangàihgēi 2 VOL.58) is the fifty-eighth volume of a sixty-part manhua series published by the Hong Konger King's Fountain, and officially-licensed by Capcom.[1] Its story name is "Escape from Artificial Island" (Chinese: 逃出人工島; Pinyin: Táo chū réngōng dǎo).
Plot[]
Continuing from the previous issue, Claire has collapsed from blood loss while fleeing from Microsoft. Chris; Dehne and Charlie meanwhile are trying to take out Perth. Chris stabs Perth, but the wound quickly heals and the three resort to shooting him.[excerpt 1] Elsewhere, Leon has severed Reform's tentacles with his hand-sword, and Waangun is witnessing the prophecy tablets being destroyed, with a new one raising from the ground.
The prophesy tablet Waangun is reading is shown to be of the evil force released by Leon. He is holding the severed heads of two women in his palms, and is standing above over corpses and the wreckage of a building. Pungun and Molung, the two other Patron Saints of the Different Space, arrive on the scene to meet with Waangun. They sense something is wrong and head out on their way to help out.
Back at the B.H.S.T. compound, Claire wakes up from an infirmary bed, being attended to by Ada Wong of all people. Ada stops, her G powers sensing danger as someone approaches.[excerpt 2] She declares that Microsoft has caught up to them and is just outside ("微軟己追到嚟， 到咗門外！"). Microsoft, prophetically, breaks the metal door apart and enters the room. Upon his arrival, Ada charges a ball of Ki and throws it at the mutant. Microsoft does his best to counter the force, but its detonation sends him flying back through the wall and down the corridor.
Ada begins to feel weak, and Claire offers to help her. As they walk through the base they are met by G-zombies who have stormed the perimeter from outside; the extra guards having been killed by Microsoft. Ada is bit. Meanwhile, Perth continues to absorb the gunshots from the B.H.S.T. operatives, and they are forced to flee. Charlie stops briefly to make a headshot, while Chris sends a message out through the communications room, informing his superiors that the base has been lost.
Charlie and Dehne run on together, but run into a group of G-zombies. Charlie finds Ya Lan lying on the floor. When he comes to pick his comrade up, Ya Lan bites into his neck. While Dehne looks on, Perth and Microsoft both move in closer. Claire destroys Perth's head with one of the Outstanding Ten's energy weapons she collected. She tries to shoot Microsoft, but he dodges the two beams. Claire jumps at him to fire rapidly, finally defeating him. As the G-zombies run to the three women, Ada puts herself between them and Dehne. Remembering Ada's relationship with Leon, Dehne snaps and pushes Ada further towards them. She smiles as the zombies begin eating her. Behind Dehne, a naked, red-haired, adult Sherry stands close by.
Back outside, Leon starts decapitating Reform's allies while their leader watches. He reveals the truth - he is God.[excerpt 3] Lightning strikes while Reform's surviving soldiers stand in confusion.[excerpt 4]
