Plot[]
FAE Surface Attack Weapons (FAE面攻擊武器)[]
Leon's friends are faced with a dilemma.
The commander of CENTCOM orders a helicopter to drop a bomb (the "FAE") onto the city. The Special Forces Unit members quickly realise that the bombardment of the city will mean certain death for Leon.[excerpt 1]
A mysterious individual appears before them and sends them away to go meet a computer expert. As two soldiers walk around an APC, the man suddenly disappears.
Microsoft (微軟)[]
Group "E" is introduced to the SFU's tech support officer, nicknamed "Microsoft". Charlie orders him to hack into the Umbrella mainframe, certain that the organization is "very suspicious".[excerpt 2] They discover that Umbrella has been keeping tabs on them, and have database entries for each member of the organization.
Joker (小丑)[]
The mysterious man introduces himself.
The mysterious man reintroduces himself as a sort of "Minister for Foreign Affairs" amongst Umbrella, providing the name "Joker". He explains that his presence here is to encourage Group E not to 'intervene' in the incident.[excerpt 3] Charlie is left dumbstruck by the comment, unsure what the man means by "intervention".[excerpt 4]
Ya Lan tries to grab the Joker, who uses amazing athletical abilities to jump over the man. The group look in shock as he turns invisible in front of them.
Microsoft rushes out of his van to alert Charlie to further updates to the mainframe - the CIA is to arrest the team due to massive corruption.[1]
Wasteland (廢鐵城)[]
Charlie drives away in the computer support APC while Dehne uses Microsoft's terminal. Charlie tells her to log in to "www.wl.c" (the terminal itself reads "wasteland.com"). Accessing the server, Charlie asks for a submarine and five diving suits to be delivered to them.[excerpt 5]
Mole (內奸)[]
Sherry is attacked
Leon and Ada continue down the sewers in search of Claire. Meanwhile, Sherry uses her powers on the water to make bubbles to amuse herself. Moving further through the sewers, Claire notices that something is following them. A tentacled monster grabs Sherry, carrying her midair. Claire tries to free her by slashing one of the tentacles off. Sherry falls into her arms. Leon and Ada find the two, looking down at them from an upper level. Ada quietly looks at Sherry...
Departure (出發)[]
The SFU team commandeer a boat, but are discovered before they can leave the mooring. A helicopter drops down a crate in front of Charlie and Dehne, and then suddenly leaves. They open the crate to find it contains a miniature submersible.
Meanwhile, elements of the US Marine Corps begin landings on the other side of the river. The two CIA operatives coordinate from their APC, which is being transported over the river, as well.
Elsewhere, a group of armed police fire at an unseen foe, only for a car to be thrown at them. Through the smoke, the silhouettes of three Guard Mechs can be seen.
