"Opening cutscene"[note 1] is a cutscene in Resident Evil: Dead Aim.
Plot[]
US Army operator Bruce McGivern has been captured infiltrating the Spencer Rain by Morpheus D. Duvall, the very terrorist he was sent to stop. Before Duvall can execute him, Chinese security agent Fongling throws a grenade on the deck, which seriously wounds Duvall and helps McGivern get away.
Transcript[]
Narration: Raccoon City, a mid-western town in the United States, was destroyed when a substance known as the t-virus leaked throughout the town.
However, Umbrella, the corporation developing the virus, refused to abort the project, and once again the threat of biological terror was thrust upon the world.
A large amount of t-virus was stolen three days ago when a terrorist group hit an Umbrella lab in France. Yesterday, one of Umbrella's cruisers was hijacked and contaminated with the same virus.
Morpheus D. Duvall: "Why you American spies choose to use such ugly guns is still a mystery to me."
Bruce McGivern: "Morpheus..."
"I think that cheap cologne you're wearing is going to your head. What do you plan to do with the t-Virus?"
Morpheus: "I'm afraid that's all the playtime you have for today. You die. Now!"

Yet the Umbrella Corporation still continued its secret research.
And as a result, the world now faces an even greater terror.
A large quantity of "t-virus", stolen from a French lab three days ago, was used to contaminate a hijacked Umbrella cruise liner yesterday.
Morpheus: "Is there some reason you American spies insist on using such ugly guns?"
Bruce: "Morpheus..."
Bruce: "What are you planning to do with the stolen "t-virus"?"
Morpheus: "I'm afraid that's all the playtime we have for today."
"You die. NOW."
