BIOHAZARD 1.5
(Rejected BIOHAZARD/Resident Evil sequel)

The Raccoon City Police Station was the main headquarters of the Raccoon City Police Department, the primary law enforcement agency for the Midwestern American city, Raccoon City.

History[]

RE15 Lobby 07

The police station was appropriately sized for city law enforcement.

After Umbrella's closure in the aftermath of the Mansion Incident, the RPD stationed a large amount of police officers to investigate its factory. As the t-Virus spread around Raccoon City, many officers were killed in the streets while trying to contain the hordes of zombies who were transformed thanks to the effects of the virus. As the situation was rapidly deteriorating, many officers began using the station as shelter for survivors and to hold off against the hordes of zombies. Despite their use of shutters, the officers remaining inside the station were too few to hold the zombies off, and the survivors were forced to evacuate the building. Officer Leon S. Kennedy was left behind, having reached the helipad too late. The only other remaining officers by this time were Roy, Marvin Branagh, and Chief of Police Brian Irons. Roy was infected and would later transform into a zombie in front of civilians Elza Walker and John, while Brian Irons was seriously injured. Elza herself had only just arrived, having crashed her motorcycle through the station's lobby in the midst of the outbreak. Eventually, the survivors all fled into the sewers, intent on reaching the police team at the factory.

Architecture[]

RE15 Map Layout Kaidan 1

The first floor layout.

The police station was designed in a very modern and realistic fashion up to par with most real-life U.S. police stations, and shutter controls were fitted in various places to tackle the threat of rioters. The shutters would later find much use holding back against zombies.

Office B[]

Office B was to play a role in the game as the site where Roy is killed.

Lobby[]

The Lobby was the starting point for Elza Walker.

Gallery[]

Further notes[]

Ultimately, the building was scrapped when Resident Evil 2's development was restarted from scratch, with an art museum instead being the basis of the police station's design.
