The Darkroom corridor (暗室前廊下 Anshitsu zen rōka)[1] is an area of Raccoon City Police Station featured in both Resident Evil 2 and the Resident Evil 2 remake, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles.
Description[]
The west wing corridor connects to the northwest corridor, evidence room, photography red room and the staircase leading to the stars office. During the outbreak the remaining officers used this passage to travel to and from the operations room. On September 27 the officers used this passage to move the injured officers from the zombie attack in the northwest corridor to the evidence room. They locked the door leading to the west wing corridor, kept the injured in the evidence room and took shelter in the west office.
In Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Nemesis-T Type breaks the window opposite the stairs. In Resident Evil 2 and The Darkside Chronicles, however, that window remained intact.

Resident Evil 2[]
During Leon A and Claire A, there are four zombies spread out in the room.
There are two Green Herbs in the room during all scenarios.
The southmost door leads to the Evidence Room and requires the Diamond Key to open. The middle door leads to the Conference room corridor. The door by the stairs goes to the Photography darkroom. Going up the stairs leads to the Stone statue corridor.
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis[]
After retrieving the Lockpick from the S.T.A.R.S. Office, Jill will be attacked by Nemesis upon returning through this room. This time, he is equipped with his rocket launcher. It will then begin to pursue her through the Raccoon Police Station, if Jill escapes without fighting it from this room. The Nemesis will stop chasing after reaching the Main Hall.
Darkside Chronicles[]
The Raccoon City Police Department file is found in this room by shooting the first light on top of the start of the stairs. The first time coming into this area, there will be 6 zombies in total, there's also a Herb next to the stairs on the floor and Sub Machinegun ammo on one of the zombies on the floor.
In the second visit there will be 4 more zombies, all breakbale objects respawn so the player can get double the gold and points.
Resident Evil 2 (2019)[]
One zombie can be found in the window, trying to bust through it. A wooden board right in front of the door that leads to the Dark-room can be found to avoid it. However, it will instantly crash the window in the 2nd scenarios. More Zombies from the staircase of the corridor will appear to gang up upon the player.
