The press room is an area of the Raccoon Police Station featured in Resident Evil 2 and its remake.
Description[]
In the original, picture at the top right hand side from the door describe a picture of a man on a carriage. The room is scattered with papers, tables and equipments. There are three faucet in front that are labelled as "11", "12" and "13".
In the remake, there is a trail of blood that leads to a zombie on the floor, on the zombie is handgun ammo. On the wall next to the zombie is a switch that can be used to turn on the lights inside the room, like the original, the room is scattered with papers, tables and equipments.

In the original, to obtain the Cogwheel from the picture, the three faucet must be lit according to the right pattern between "12", "13" and "11". To lit the faucet, a lighter can be used on the fireplace on the top right left corner. Then the Cogwheel will automatically fall from the picture thus enabling it to be obtain. In scenario B, once the Cogwheel drop, T-00 will come in from the wall of the hallway.
In the remake, a Handgun Ammo can be retrieved here, as found lying along with a corpse. Upon developing the Film: "Hiding Place", one of the drawers can be opened which will reveal either a Fuel for Leon's scenario or a Needle Cartridges for Claire's scenario. Like in the original, the T-00 will burst out from the wall of the hallway around the Press Room should the player stay there for a long time.
