The Town is a location in Resident Evil 6. It is the location explored in Chapter 1-4 of the Leon Story.

Guide[]

There is an auto-save checkpoint upon entering the area. Going up the stairs,[Note 1] Hunnigan will make contact with Leon and Helena. A zombie fireman[Note 2] lunges toward the first player to reach the top with an ax and gets it stuck in the wall. Further down the road,[Note 3] a runaway car[Note 4] covered in zombies will speed toward the player and swerve into a utility pole and a fire hydrant. The car can hit the player and cause one block of damage if they are in its path. After the crash, the driver will be unconscious and the broken hydrant will release an uncontrolled spray. Several zombies and survivors will trigger in the area after this. None of the survivors can be interacted with. All of the zombies will ignore the player unless they are attacked. There are two wooden boxes in this area. To the east is a man pinned beneath a car. A Partner Action event is required to move the car and free him. During this event, a man on a motorcycle will crash into the car. This will not harm the player. Both the motorcyclist and man trapped under the car will die in the crash and the wreckage of the bike will block the previous path. The passage to the next area is now clear.

Three zombies will come out of the school bus next to the crash. More zombies are to the east, including some U.S. Special Forces zombies[Note 5] that will fire assault rifles at the player. There is an alley to the north. There is a fence separating a group of zombies from the player. If the player approaches the fence, the zombies will lunge forward causing the player character to flinch. They can be shot at but cannot be reached physically. There is a ladder[Note 6] that can be climbed using the Solo Action button that leads to a scaffold above the alley. There is a gap that can be crossed using the Solo Action button. The first player to cross the gap will trigger a scene where the zombies try to pull them below. There is a zombie on an elevated section of scaffolding. This section can be climbed using the Solo Action button. The player can then drop down to the street level from the scaffold using the Solo Action button. There is a Partner Action door and a checkpoint at the end of the alley.

In the next area, a car will speed down the road followed by a group of zombies. There are more U.S. Special Forces zombies in the area. There is an alley to the south. There are more zombies in the alley and two wooden boxes. A ladder at the end of the alley can be climbed using the Solo Action button. There is another zombie at the top. A construction dumpster[Note 7] on the scaffold is blocking the path. A Partner Action is needed to push it. The dumpster falls on a car below, setting off the alarm and alerting zombies in the area who will make their way to the player. A fire escape connected to the scaffold can be climbed using the Solo Action button. There is a bus in the middle of the road. The player can drop down to the street level from the top of the bus using the Solo Action button.

When the player drops to the street, a car will speed away in reverse. An armored vehicle will speed down an alley farther down the road and crash. The vehicle can hit the player and cause nearly two blocks of damage if they are in its path. There is a Partner Action door in an alley to the south.

This door leads to the indoor area.

Further notes[]

  • This is the first location with assault rifle zombies.
  • The street signs read "Lacky Street". This appears to be a misspelling of "Lackey Street", indicated by the subway map in Tall Oaks Station which uses the proper spelling.

Notes
  1. In the Official Complete Guide, these are called the "stairs" (階段 kaidan?).
  2. The Official Complete Guide refers to this zombie as an "emergency worker" (救急隊員 kyūkyū taiin?). While this is true, it is more accurate to refer to him as a fireman.
  3. The Official Complete Guide calls this the "roadway" (通路 tsūro?).
  4. In the Official Complete Guide, the car is referred to as a "runaway car" (暴走した車 bōsō shita kuruma?).
  5. The Official Complete Guide calls this zombie type "BSAA zombies" (BSAAのゾンビ BSAA no zonbi?), which is incorrect. They are meant to be U.S. Special Forces.
  6. The Official Complete Guide calls this the "ladder" (はしご hashigo?).
  7. The Official Complete Guide calls this the "dust box" (ダストボックス dasuto bokkusu?).
