The STARLIGHT as it sinks.
The Starlight was a passenger liner infested with zombies when the t-Virus was spread throughout the ship, leaving only one survivor - a girl named Lucia.[1] An investigation by Leon S. Kennedy and Barry Burton discovered that the Umbrella Corporation was a party in this disaster.

Starlight operated on the popular transatlantic passenger business, taking people from the United States to Europe and back again.
Starlight incident[]
In the months following the Raccoon City Destruction Incident, Starlight became the focus of an Umbrella conspiracy to transport illegal bioweapons. For the previous two years a next-generation parasitic B.O.W. had been growing within the body of Lucia, a child test-subject. Approaching full maturation, the parasite was projected to eat its way out of Lucia within days. This coincided, intentionally or not, with Lucia's passage on board Starlight, bound for Europe. During preparations for departure, a Tyrant was smuggled on board the ship with orders to recover Lucia and take her to an Umbrella-owned submarine shadowing the passenger liner; the other passengers and crew were to be killed or infected, and the ship scuttled to hide any evidence.
At the time of the initial attacks, elements of the plan had already been leaked to an anti-Umbrella organisation, and agent Leon S. Kennedy was sent in to investigate a report of a shape-shifting B.O.W. disguised as a passenger. The ship quickly fell to the Tyrant's rampage, with passengers and crew trying in vain to hide. Before long, Kennedy and Lucia were the sole remaining uninfected survivors; the Tyrant continued to search for Lucia while sabotaging the ship. Kennedy was soon reinforced by Barry Burton, another agent sent to assist. Over the course of the night, the engine room suffered a catastrophic fire which caused an explosion which ruptured the hull despite attempts to power up the fire suppression system. To escape the ship, Burton made communication with the Umbrella submarine, where he forced them to surgically remove the parasite in Lucia's body. The parasite escaped back to Starlight, where it attempted to take the form of Kennedy to be rescued by Burton, though the deception was exposed. The three managed to escape Starlight as the ship sank below the waves.
