A collaboration event with "Resident Evil" was held at Shooting Bar EA in Kichijoji, Tokyo. The second collaboration in two years since the first one in 2011 is titled "Resident Evil Revelations Unveiled Edition" release commemorative shooting bar EA x Resident Evil 2nd Season, and the content is even more powerful. Shooting bar EA is located near Inokashira Park, the symbol of Kichijoji. This is a spot where anyone can casually enjoy shooting, as it has a shooting range where you can shoot at targets with airguns. The previous collaboration, which was based on the association between "Bio" and guns, was packed with people every day, and I remember feeling relieved that I had managed to get a reservation. Last time, the decorations were to commemorate the release of "Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D", but this time, to commemorate the release of "Resident Evil: Revelations: Unveiled Edition", the interior of the store was decorated with the theme of "Revelations". Not only Jill and Chris, but also creatures such as oozes and globsters appeared. Additionally, the model guns displayed throughout the store give it the feel of a shooting range. This time, with the cooperation of Tokyo Marui, a long-established airgun manufacturer, all of the limited edition handguns from the past "Bio" series are on display. We were also able to see up close the latest limited edition model, the "Samurai Edge A1 Jill Model", as well as rare models that were created for the campaign and were not sold to the general public.

The opening event began with an opening speech from Ryosuke Hagiwara, head of the Publicity Planning and Promotion Office, who is familiar with Hagi Toko, and Yasuhiro Takeda, director of Gainax Co., Ltd., spoke about his enthusiasm for this collaboration. Some people may wonder why Gainax is famous for the anime, but the shooting bar EA is actually operated by the same company. Apparently, Mr. Takeda himself opened the shop because he loved survival games. By the way, today I returned from a survival game, so I showed up with the same equipment. 東京・吉祥寺のシューティングバーEA(エアー)にて、『バイオハザード』とのコラボイベントが実施。2011年の第1弾から、2年振り2回目となるコラボは、『バイオハザード リベレーションズ アンベールドエディション』発売記念シューティングバーEA×バイオハザード2ndシーズンと題して、内容もさらにパワーアップ。ここでは、そのオープニングイベントの詳細をお届けしよう。

吉祥寺のシンボル、井の頭公園からほど近くにあるシューティングバーEA。こちらは、エアガンで的を撃つシューティングレンジを備えており、誰でも気軽にシューティングを楽しめるスポットだ。『バイオ』といえば銃、という繋がりから実施された前回のコラボは連日満員の賑わいで、筆者も何とか予約を入れられてホッとしたのを覚えている。前回は『バイオハザード ザ・マーセナリーズ3D』の発売を記念した装飾だったが、今回は『バイオハザード リベレーションズ アンベールドエディション』の発売記念ということで、店内は『リベレーションズ』一色。ジルやクリスたちはもちろん、ウーズやグロブスターなどのクリーチャーも顔を出していた。さらに、店内の至るところに飾られたモデルガンがまさに射撃訓練場といった趣。今回はエアガンの老舗、東京マルイ社の協力で歴代『バイオ』の限定ハンドガンがすべて展示されている。最新作の限定モデル”サムライエッジA1 ジルモデル”や、キャンペーン用に制作され、一般販売されなかったレアモデルなども間近で見ることができた。

入口にはBSAAのエンブレムが。極東支部射撃訓練場の文字がなんとも心ニクい。

クイーン・ゼノビア号のカジノでおなじみのあの娘もお出迎え。何グラムだったっけ?

オープニングイベントでは、ハギとこでおなじみのパブリシティ企画推進室の萩原良輔室長の開会挨拶に始まり、株式会社ガイナックス取締役の武田康廣氏が今回のコラボへの意気込みを語った。あのアニメで有名なガイナックスがなぜ、と思われる人もいるかもしれないが、実はこちらのシューティングバーEAは同社が運営しているのだ。何でも、武田氏ご自身がサバイバルゲーム好きが高じてお店を開かれたとのこと。ちなみに、今日はサバイバルゲーム帰りということで、そのままの装備でご登場。(武田氏へのインタビューは後程お届け)
