The Grenade Launcher (グレネードランチャー gurenēdo ranchā ) is a weapon item in Resident Evil CODE:Veronica.
Location[]
It's in the Supply shed passageway which is first seen while playing as Steve, the player can only obtain it when the Emblem Card is acquired, as either Claire or Chris.
If Claire picked it up, Chris can use it if she places the weapon in the Item Box before the Nosferatu battle or before the Monster Steve sequence.
In the Very Easy difficulty available in Japanese versions of the game, the weapon can be found in the Item Box by default.
Gameplay[]
It uses 4 types of rounds:
- Grenade Rounds
- Rounds that are filled with explosives. The most common type of round. They also have the shortest range when compared to other rounds because they scatter into small pieces. Note that if all of them connect, the damage can be extreme.
- Flame Rounds
- Rounds that are filled with napalm gel. They do additional fire damage when used. They are useful against Bandersnatches and the Gulp Worm.
- Acid Rounds
- B.O.W. Gas Rounds
- Rounds that are filled with a special anti-B.O.W. gas. Only 3 rounds are found in the game. They are extremely effective against the Tyrant. Note that these rounds alone cannot kill anything because they only halve the health of any creature.
Further notes[]
- In the original Dreamcast version, the box where the weapon is sitting on does not exist. It is found leaning against the wall instead.
