The H&K P8 (HG) was introduced in Resident Evil 5 acting as a spiritual to the Punisher from Resident Evil 4, being able to pierce through enemies. Asides from it's appearance in Resident Evil 5, it also appears in Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.
The P8 is not found on any map during the campaign. It can only be bought once the player reaches Chapter 3-1.
It has a starting firepower of 140, reload speed of 1.53, capacity of 9, and a piercing value of 2. However, the gun gets much better fully upgraded with a firepower of 300, reload speed of .85, a capacity of 25, and a piercing value of 5. When fully upgraded and compared to the other handguns, it has a middle range of firepower and capacity and the lowest rate of fire, but also the fastest reload speed and the only handgun that can pierce through multiple enemies.
It takes a total of ₦84,000 to buy and fully upgrade the P8.
- The gun works much better in late chapters against the armored base majini.
In Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D
The Heckler & Koch P8, more commonly known as just the P8, is HUNK's primary handgun in Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. The P8 is best known for its superb firing Speed, and its capacity of fourteen. While not as strong as the other pistols in the game, the P8 still packs a punch, able to take down a majini (Non EX) with only three shots. A good way to save ammo and earn time, is to use the P8 for shooting enemies in the foot, then performing a Physical attack.
- In Resident Evil 5, the P8 is shown in all holsters during gameplay, even when having a different handgun in inventory. Chris Redfield's BSAA costume always has the M92F (HG) though.
