Resident Evil
S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team member. Position: RS (Rear Security). Jill is very serious about her work and has a strong sense of justice, and will frankly state her opinion without a second thought.
She has skilled hands and is an accomplished lock picker and proficient at bomb disposal. She wears lightweight clothing while on duty to avoid hampering her movement, along with a S.T.A.R.S. - emblazoned beret.

Resident Evil 3
Having survived the Mansion Incident, Chris heads to Europe to investigate the Umbrella headquarters, while Jill remains in Raccoon City and launches an independent probe into Umbrella's local facilities.
During her investigation however, the T-Virus is leaked in the city. In the ensuing confusion, a new B.O.W. (Bio-Organic Weapon), the Nemesis T-type, is released into the city, relentlessly pursuing Jill. Jill finally decides to flee after learning of the U.S. government's plans to exterminate Raccoon City.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
Jill joins a private anti-biohazard unit formed to fight bioterrorism. In February 2003 she learns of the development of a new B.O.W. (Bio-Organic Weapon) by Umbrella's Russian branch.
She assaults the Russian laboratory with Chris and a local task force. The entire incident was planned by Wesker, however, who deliberately leaked the information in order to ensure Umbrella's demise.

Resident Evil Revelations
Following the collapse of Umbrella, Jill decides to join the BSAA (an anti-bioterror organization) with Chris to oppose a new wave of bioterror that is spreading across the globe. She boards the mysterious luxury cruiser Queen Zenobia with her partner Parker after receiving news that Chris has gone missing.
Resident Evil 5
Jill went missing in action during the infiltration of the Spencer Estate in August 2008, when she threw herself off a cliff with Wesker to save Chris. The BSAA declared her killed in action on November 23 the same year.
Wesker, however, was intrigued by the changes he had observed in her body, and decided to place her into a cryogenic sleep in preparation for using her as test subject n.1 in the Uroboros project. Although she would not ultimately be used directly for Uroboros experiments, the project was greatly accelerated by the antibodies discovered inside her. She would later be used for testing a different pharmaceutical, as she was considered to be an especially rare specimen. She was administered the experimental Tricell drug P30, which gave her superhuman abilities and allowed her mind to be controlled, and was exploited by Wesker and Excella. Chris and Jill finally found each other again, although this time they would meet as enemies.

「洋館事件」から生還後、アンブレラの本拠地捜査を目的にヨーロッパへ旅立ったクリスを見送った後、彼女は単独でラクーンシティ内にあるアンブレラの主要施設の調査を開始。
しかし、調査中に街に「t-ウィルス」が流出したことから事態は急変し、混乱に乗じて投入された新型B.O.W.（生物兵器）「ネメシス-T型」からの追跡を受ける。その後、米国政府によるラクーンシティへの攻撃「滅菌作戦」が行われることを知り、ラクーンシティからの脱出を決意する。

世界中で発生しているバイオテロに対抗する民間で組織された「私設対バイオハザード部隊」に所属。 2003年2月、アンブレラ・ロシア支部が新型B.O.W.（生物兵器）の開発を行っているとの情報を入手。
仲間のクリス、地元部隊と共に、ロシア支部の研究所を急襲する。 しかし、この情報はウェスカーから持たされた情報であり、そしてアンブレラを終焉へと導く事件となっていく。

【BIOHAZARD REVELATIONS】
アンブレラ壊滅後、世界に蔓延し始めたバイオテロとの新たな闘いの場を求めて、クリスと共にBSAA(対バイオテロ部隊)に参加。クリス失踪の報告を受けて、パートナーのパーカーとともに謎の豪華客船「クイーン・ゼノビア」に潜入する。
【BIOHAZARD 5】
2006年8月に行われた「スペンサー邸突入作戦」にて、クリスをかばうためにウェスカーと共に崖から転落し消息不明となり、同年11月23日にBSAAから殉職したと認定される。
しかし、ジルの体内の変化に興味を持ったウェスカーによって、彼女は「ウロボロス計画」の被験者第1号として睡眠状態で生かされた。直接的な実験体にはならなかったものの、彼女の体内の抗体を利用してウロボロス計画は進められ、更に希少な人間であったため、別の薬品の被験者となった。トライセルで研究段階にあった「P30」を投与された彼女は、超人的な能力を得ると同時に精神をコントロールされるようになり、ウェスカーやエクセラに操られてしまう。かつて仲間だったクリスの前に敵として再会する事になる。
