Jim Marker was a student at the Raccoon City High School, and a classmate of Jane. He was the son of Mr.Marker, the director of Arklay Dam.

Biography

Infection

On a Sunday in September 1998,[note 1] Raccoon City's water supply was infested with rats at Arklay Dam, spreading the t-Virus into the drinking water. Jim became ill the same day, but still insisted on picking up his dad from work. It was when he reached the city outskirts that he finally gave up and parked outside Jane's house; he was brought in complaining of an itch before passing out from fever.[2] When Jane's father Nick returned from the Dam having learnt of the tainted water, he took Jim to the basement, aware that his rotting skin was proof he would soon become a zombie.[3] Jim remained partially conscious through much of the night, and was eventually able to call out Jane for help as zombies besieged the house. By this point he understood his fate and plead to Nick to shoot him dead.[4] Soon after, the house burnt to the ground, killing Nick and Jane as well.[5]
