Biography[]
While traveling by ferry to Gadiwell island along with her friend Rain, who wanted to visit her uncle Bale, Kate was nearly knocked off the ferry when the ship moved to avoid a whirlpool. At the last second however she was saved by a former CRW soldier named Norse Chirac who managed to catch her. She and Rain thank him and they continue to have a chat while he heads below deck.
When the ferry finally arrives at the island, Kate asked Norse to carry their luggage up to Bale's house in exchange for showing Norse where the inn that he will be staying for the night is located. He agreed and the trio proceeded to head inland. They then arrived at the house only to find the door lock with a huge lock. Rain thinking that her uncle might be at Robert's shop which is the only pub in the village, drinking beer lead the trio there. Upon arriving at the pub though they discovered that not only was Bale not there but he had apparently not been seen for four or five days, leading the owner to suggest that he might be hunting. Disappointed the two girls then decided to guide Norse to the inn with Kate grumpily complaining that if they can't find Bale the two girls will have to camp out and she hates camping out.
However upon arriving at the place where the inn should be the trio are shocked to find a vacant lot instead. They then notice they are being stalked by a figure in the woods which Rain realizes was in fact her childhood friend Paul. He warns the trio to leave the island as soon as morning and lock the door and windows tight when they sleep. Unnerved the three reluctantly return to Bale's house. After Norse helps the girl get inside by picking the lock, he gets ready to head out to find somewhere else to sleep but Kate insists that he stay with them for the rest of the night. After some careful consideration, he complies to their request.
The next morning, Kate takes a walk early in the morning to try and find where a movie was being filmed, something which she heard about on the ferry. Kate eventually found the film crew but got confused regarding the way back to Bale's house and decides to sit tight. Norse and Rain later look for her after Norse fearful that she may have been taking by the creatures he heard in the night discovers she is not at the house. The two eventually find Kate and Kate repeatedly tries to get the two to go with her to talk to the film crew but Rain objects, wanting to find her Uncle as soon as possible out of fearing for his safety. Kate complies with her request and the three go on to search for him.
While heading for Bale's preferred hunting ground, the group happens upon an abandoned truck. While Norse is checking out the truck Kate screams after noticing something in the woods. Norse chases after the figure and orders the girls to stay in the car. However their car is later ambushed by two zombies forcing Norse to fight them off. The trio then tries to flee only to discover the car has become stuck in the mud and won't budge. In response Norse then directs the girls to run into the woods. During said escape into the woods though Kate accidentally loses her footing and slides down down a steep slope. Norse tries to look for Kate while Rain goes on ahead but is unsuccessful as by then she had already been taken captive by men working for the Beardsley family, who in turn are working with Umbrella.
In the course of being taken captive Kate manages to leave trails leading to her whereabouts, leaving one of her blue sneakers at the entrance to supposedly abandoned Umbrella facility and her gold locket in front of a generator in some underground passageways. Sadly Kate later had her eyes gouged out and was zombified. The sadistic Mylène Beardsley later serves Rain a soup containing Kate's eyes and Norse after stumbling across Kate's zombified form in the Beardsley castle dungeon tearfully takes it upon himself to kill her.
