M4, Ltd. was a British video game developer founded in December 1995 by Tim Hull and James Cox. It primarily made games for handheld devices based on other developers' IPs. The company went out of business in 2002.

Products[]

  • "ScreenZ" (1996), a screensaver that plays video clips on a PC, made for Andersen Consulting, later Accenture. Created as a means of providing income for games development.
  • "Life Saver" (1996), a Windows 95 screensaver inspired by the game, "Game of Life". 32x magnification, frame rate options and colour selection can be decided on. Also created to provide income.
  • Bounty Hunter, a PC title made with GT Interactive. Infogrames had this game shelved.
  • Tazmania Munching Madness (1999), the first GameBoy Color title developed using Sunsoft's Warner Bros. gaming license.
  • To provide further income, M4 created artwork for Conart-Europe in 1999.
  • Jeremy McGrath Supercross 2000, a racing game made for GameBoy Color and published by Acclaim.
  • Mary-Kate and Ashley: Winner's Circle (2000), a horse riding game published by Acclaim.
  • Dino Crisis, a GameBoy title developed for Capcom in agreement with Virgin. This was cancelled to make-way for Resident Evil: Gaiden.
  • Resident Evil: Gaiden (2001), a GameBoy Color title developed for Capcom and published by Virgin in Europe.
