The Parlor (応接間 Ōsetsuma?)[1] is an area of the Spencer Mansion, located on the first floor of the east wing. It is otherwise known as the "living room" (居間 Ima?)[2]


It is a room covered with by a large carpet and consists of a fireplace, a tapestry, along with few pictures hung up on the wall. A stylish lamps on the ceiling is used to brighten the room. Most of the wall had been decorated with wallpaper. There is a rectangle shape table placed on the middle of the room.

In the 2002 remake, more pictures were added. Four sets of lamps was also added on each side of the wall. Two sets of few candle sticks and horse puppet were placed on the fireplace. Above it, is a stuff deer and a large picture. The green plant that was featured in the original Resident Evil near the entry was replace with a hanger.


In either the original or remake version of Resident Evil, player can switch the Remington M870 with the broken shotgun without triggering the trap.
