The winning poster.
To advertise 2002's Resident Evil , Sony Pictures set up a poster design competition, encouraging fan submissions. The contest was held in the US and Canada, though Quebec was left out.
Event
All submissions were to be sent in by 12pm PST on December 31, 2001, with each participant being allowed to send up to three poster designs. The contest itself was held between January 18–25. The winner of the contest won an official copy of their poster submission; the chance to a private screening in their hometown with up to 100 friends, and $2,500 in cash. Sony accepted four other finalists.[1]
