Shinkiro (December 14, 1962), who's real name is Toshiaki Mori (森 気楼 Mori Toshiaki?), is a Japanese illustrator and conceptual artist who has worked on several Resident Evil titles. He is currently employed by CAPCOM

Career

Early in his career, Shinkiro was employed by SNK, where he provided outstanding character designs and cover illustrations for a lot of their Neo-Geo games, including The King of Fighters saga, the Art of Fighting series, Fatal Fury games Samurai Shodown series and Metal Slug X.

Following the bankruptcy of SNK, Shinkiro found employment with Capcom, where he was assigned to the development of Resident Evil: Dead Aim for the PlayStation 2, followed by Resident Evil Zero for the GameCube.[1] For Zero he assisted Shinsuke Komaki with character design, as well as designing backgrounds. Later he was assigned minor artistry roles with Resident Evil: Deadly Silence[2] and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.

In an interview for BIOHAZARD THE UMBRELLA CHRONICLES ART OF ARTS, he confirmed that his duties in the latter were in concept and package art.[3] He also provided the cover concept art for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (2011). Shinkiro also participated in the In-Game T-Shirt Contest for the HD Remaster for Resident Evil Zero, and was responsible for the creation of a similar T-shirt called "Shadow of Fear."

He also worked on: Bionic Commando Rearmed, Dino Stalker, Dead Rising, Capcom Fighting Jam, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, Capcom vs SNK series and the packaging illustrations for the Game Boy Advance versions of Final Fight and Super Ghouls'n Ghosts, as well as the Japanese release of Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy. He also drew covers for American comic books such as Spider-Man Unlimited and Udon's Street Fighter comic series.
