The Shotgun is a weapon which is featured in Resident Evil CODE:Veronica. Chris finds it on a compartment acting as a "key" for the stairs. If the player chooses to take it, the stairs will rise, preventing the player from proceeding. Chris has to find the same Shotgun and replace the previous ones to proceed. Claire can later use it if the player decides to put the Shotgun previously wield by Chris in the Item Box.
The Shotgun is very powerful in close range and if used correctly, can kill any zombies in one shot. The player can score a headshot by aiming up and then shooting them, provided that the zombies are close within your range. The player can also immobilize a zombie by aiming down and shoot, causing them to crawl towards you. The Shotgun model is a Franchi SPAS 12 according to the description.
