Sniper #1[1] was a Japanese soldier in Umbrella's elite paramilitary force. He survived the collapse of the Japanese government at the start of the global T-virus pandemic, and defended Umbrella's Tokyo headquarters for the next several years. While picking off Undead in the Shibuya Scramble, he and the other snipers were killed by Alice clones.[2]

- In an earlier draft for Afterlife, Sniper #1 had more lines, boasting over having killed an Undead he insisted was the singer Madonna, who he claims was at the Nippon Budokan arena when the outbreak happened. The scene is otherwise the same, with the addition of a third sniper.
