"Only two bands of survivors - one USS and one Spec Ops - are left in Raccoon City. One last helicopter is nearing the city to rescue survivors, but there isn't enough room for everyone... Race to the chopper to survive."
Survivor is a multiplayer gameplay mode in the 2012 game, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. It is somewhat similar to survival modes in other shooters, however it has a competitive twist and has some other key differences.
How to Play
The objective of Survivor mode is to survive until the four-seater helicopter arrives, despite there being eight players. The two teams are tasked with surviving against increasing amounts of zombies and B.O.W.s.
When only three minutes are left in the game, the helicopter will arrive to pick survivors up and the number of enemies will increase significantly. As it can only hold half of the players, it becomes an "every man for himself" situation as everyone from either team rushes to claim a seat on the helicopter. The team that gets the most members on the helicopter wins.
Unlike similar modes in other games, death is not permanent, though the respawn time does increase each time the player dies. This also means that the more times the player dies, the less likely it will be that they will have enough time to claim a seat the next time they respawn.
